Planning a Dinosaur Party for a Girl!

Planning a Dinosaur Party for a Girl!

It is that time of year again, time to start planning my daughters summer birthday party. For those of you who have followed along the past few years know that two of my kids have birthdays right after the holidays in December and January. So when they were very little we decided we would have a family only party on their real birthday with dinner and cake, then in the summer throw a party with their friends.
This year, Aly has decided she wants a dinosaur themed party. She loves the thoughts of being a paleontologist, she wants to search for fossils and figure out what they are and where they came from. I love it!  This is going to be fun, leave it to my Aly to choose a theme out of the ordinary, well at least when it comes to your typical girls party themes!
We have decided on a color scheme (which is above, apple green, aqua, lilac and violet), a few patterns and have the invitations printed. OH and Aly has decided we must have Push Up Pops! Now the real work begins...putting it all together! You better believe I have my copy of "Push-up Pops" book by Courtney Dial Whitmore and my Amy Atlas "Sweet Designs" book  on hand for inspiration!!

Stay tuned as I share my party planning experience, list of vendors, fun products and recipes over the next couple of weeks. Its going to be DINO-RIFFIC!! ha!!
Hugs,
Pam

Princess Party A Royal Celebration!

Princess Party A Royal Celebration!

Working with Kate Petronis of And Everything Sweet always leads to a fabulous project and a big SMILE! Kate is one of the most talented ladies "in the business" and it is such a thrill every year to see what she dreams up for her little girls birthdays. This year, in honor of her little Olivias 4th birthday, Kate put together a truly ROYAL CELEBRATION using the Amandas Parties To Gos new PRINCESS PARTY PRINTABLE SET.

From the gorgeous castle cake to the sweet treats like Snow Whites chocolate covered Oreo apples, Cinderellas slipper Sixlets, and Ariels chocolate sea shells, Kate created a magical world themed perfectly for her little girls favorite princesses. The letters "OLIVIA" on the front of the dessert table are another one of Kates brilliant creations... each themed for a different princess. You will LOVE the details of this truly spectacular celebration where even Snow White comes by with sweet birthday wishes.

Kate says....

I had every princess you could think of, every bright color that my baby loves, tiaras, dresses, flowers, tulle, if it was girly it was there.  When it came time to plan this party there was no question what the theme was going to be.  She was adamant, PRINCESS!  The only question was, WHICH princess??  "All of them" she said, and then walked away.

So without further adieu, my baby girls princess party...

Upon arrival, each guest was presented with a princess dress (in the event that they forgot their own at home)

Extra jewelry (you can never have too many beads)
And the boys were given knight gear. (so that they could protect the princesses)

Guests were sent home with bags full of goodies, as well as jewels from Princess Jasmine and bubbles.
