I noticed over on planet.ubuntu.com that one user is calling for volunteers to setup anonymous squid proxies to allow the protestors uncensored access to the net. He has nice How-To setup including ACL lists to block access to Iranian government agencies and how to communicate information regarding your proxy. If you have a virtualization setup, this would most likely be an easy and secure way to create the proxy and then take it down later.
